Paved in Bone

This three-act original play was originally conceived in a playwriting workshop at the University of Miami led by playwright and educator Nilo Cruz.

Inspired by Celtic legend, this tragedy chronicles the rise to power of a young queen Medb, and in the process, humanizes a complicated and contested mythic figure who represents the struggle between fate and desire.

Paved in Bone was part of the inaugural Staged Reading Series at the University of Miami. Although the Covid 19 pandemic disrupted the semester before rehearsals could begin, the cast was flexible and enthusiastic and we were able to do a virtual workshop of the play over Zoom.
