Willowbrook
1 Hr Dramedy Pilot
Please Enjoy
Willowbrook
This series is inspired by my experiences as a summer camp counselor at a Jewish sleepaway camp in the Poconos. I kept a journal every summer and wrote down all the crazy things that happened because I knew they would make for very entertaining television.
I had the amazing opportunity to film a scene from the pilot as a proof of concept in February 2024. So exciting to see parts of Willowbrook brought to life!
Directed By Claire Jantzen
Produced By Jordan Ellison of Mantid Media
Director of Photography Nolan Englund
Starring Kara Clemmenson as Ken
Austin Dammann as Noah

Episode 101 "Coming Home"
When the director of a hundred-year-old summer camp for children of the Tri-State area's elite makes a series of bad financial decisions that might close the camp, a group of overzealous yet scatter-brained counselors plot to save their jobs, the summer, and the family they've created.

From reader comments: "Willowbrook" is an enjoyable look at young people in charge of even younger people and the lessons that can be learned from both. The setting of a summer camp huge on heart is very appealing and ripe ground for a much-needed uplifting story in this day and time. The characters are colorful and appealing, and the romantic tension between Mackenzie and Noah adds suspense that every good drama thrives on. The pacing of the pilot was well-done.

Just a peek at the silliness of camp life you can expect to find in this script!
